When a new version of our Windows/MacOS/Linux app is released, a message will appear in the client menu indicating that an update is available. If you click that menu selection, you will be directed to our PIA Client Support site (https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/client-support/). Near the top of this page is a list of software download links. Choose the link for your operating system to download the new version for installation.
Occasionally, updating our software without first uninstalling the old version can lead to installation/connection issues. Should you encounter issues following the update, please try reinstalling the application, and all services and files associated with it, via the process outlined in these other Knowledge Base articles:
