This guide explains why Private Internet Access (PIA) is not offered or designed as a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance solution.
Using PIA does not itself make an organization PCI DSS compliant.
Why Isn't PIA a PCI DSS Compliance Solution?
PCI DSS is a security standard that helps organizations protect payment card data and reduce the risk of fraud. Organizations that process, store, or transmit payment card information must meet its requirements.
PIA is a consumer VPN service that protects your internet connection with encryption. PIA may be one component of a broader security architecture, but standing alone it is not a substitute for meeting PCI DSS requirements.
