There are two Ways to change the DNS settings on iOS Devices.
- Within the Private Internet Access (PIA) App
- Within the iOS Device Settings
Change DNS With PIA App
- Open the PIA app.
- Select the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner, then select Settings.
- Go to the Network tab, then select DNS. By default, the app uses PIA DNS.
- Choose either PIA DNS or Custom DNS.
- The app displays a warning that a non-PIA DNS may expose DNS traffic. If you accept, select OK.
- If you select Custom DNS, enter values in Primary DNS and Secondary DNS, then select Save.
- Disconnect and reconnect to the VPN to apply the changes.
