Uninstalling the Application
Step 1: Locate the App
Find the Private Internet Access (PIA) app icon on your iOS home screen. The icon is a white square with a green robot in the center.
Step 2: Select the App
Hold your finger on the app icon until a menu appears, then select Remove App.
Step 3: Delete the App
Select Delete App, then select Delete on the final pop-up to confirm the removal of the application and its data.
Step 4: Finish
To stop the icons from shaking, swipe up from the bottom of the screen or press the Home button (for older device generations). You have successfully uninstalled PIA from your iOS device.
Resetting Your Network Settings
If you intend to reinstall the application, PIA recommends resetting your network settings first to clear all networking details.
Note: Resetting network settings removes all saved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth profiles. You may wish to record these details before proceeding.
Step 1: Settings
Open the iOS Settings app and navigate to General > Transfer or Reset iPhone.
Step 2: Reset Network Settings
Tap Reset, then select Reset Network Settings.
Step 3: Reboot the Device
Once the network settings reset, reboot your device. Hold the Power button and either Volume button until the power-off slider appears. Turn the device off, wait 60 seconds, and power it back on.
You are now ready to reinstall PIA. For installation instructions, review our guide here. If you encounter issues, contact the PIA support team.
