This error is less serious than it appears. A glitch in the Windows TCP stack causes it. In most cases, clearing the stack resolves the issue.
Follow these steps:
- Open your network connections and locate your active connection (LAN or Wi-Fi).
- Open the connection’s properties. Under the General tab, select IPv4, then open its properties.
- Ensure the IP address is set to Obtain an IP address automatically, then apply the changes.
- Reconnect to the VPN. Return to network connections and locate the new VPN tunnel connection.
- Open the VPN connection’s properties, select IPv4, and confirm the IP address is set to Obtain an IP address automatically. Apply the changes.
- Open Device Manager and expand Network adapters.
- Select your active adapter (LAN or Wi-Fi). Right-click it, select Disable, then right-click again and select Enable. This refreshes the TCP bindings.
- Open the Start menu and go to Programs > Accessories. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
- In the Command Prompt window, enter the following commands. Press Enter after each line:
netsh dump
netsh int ip reset log.txt
netsh winsock reset
ipconfig /flushdns
exit
- Shut down your computer. Wait 60 seconds, then turn it back on.
- Reconnect to the VPN. If your issues persist, please feel free to contact support at any time by submitting a ticket, and we will respond as soon as possible.
