Steps

Download the latest Viscosity installer from the official source.
Note: Viscosity is a licensed application and requires a license fee after the trial period.
- Open the downloaded
.dmgfile from your Downloads folder. - Drag the Viscosity icon to the Applications folder to install it.
- Open Viscosity from the Applications folder.
- If prompted with a security message stating that Viscosity is downloaded from the internet, click Open.
- If installation prompts appear, click Install and enter your Mac administrator password.
- When asked about updates, select Check Automatically.
- Download the PIA configuration files.
- Open the Viscosity menu bar icon and select Preferences.
- Go to the Connections tab and click +.
- Select Import Connection > From File.
- Locate the OpenVPN configuration folder, select it, and click Open to import all regions.
- Confirm the import by clicking OK when prompted.
- Open the Viscosity menu bar icon and select your desired server region.
- Enter your PIA username (for example, p1234567) and password when prompted.
- Viscosity connects automatically to the selected server.
- Verify your connection by opening the Viscosity menu bar icon and checking the active connection status.
