OpenVPN Configuration Generator: Custom Files
Select Go to OpenVPN Generator to open the configuration generator. Unlike the pre-made sets, the generator lets you create a single configuration file for a specific server location with your preferred settings. You can generate as many files as you need.
Follow these steps to generate a file:
- Select the OpenVPN version: Choose between version 2.4 or newer and 2.3 or older.
-
Select your platform: Choose from Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, or Android.
-
Select the region: Choose your desired server location.
-
Choose port and encryption: Select the port and encryption level.
- Use IP (optional): Enable this option if you need the configuration file to use an IP address instead of a server hostname.
Once you have selected all options, click Generate to download the file. The file will appear in your browser or your computer's downloads folder. You can then import it into your desired OpenVPN application.
Note: Private Internet Access (PIA) does not guarantee that these configuration files work for your desired application. PIA is unable to assist in troubleshooting if you encounter issues.
