Windows, macOS, and Linux
The latest version of the PIA desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux is available on the Downloads page.
The Downloads page also includes a link to the changelog for the latest update and the previous 5 desktop app versions.
The PIA desktop app will also notify you when an update is available. You can check for update notifications in the following places:
- In the app’s connect menu, below the Power button.
- In the app’s Settings menu. A green arrow appears above the three-dot button (⋮) in the top-right corner of the connect menu.
- In the system tray. Right-click the PIA app icon to see if an option to download the latest version appears.
Android
The latest version of the PIA Android app is available on the Google Play Store. To check for updates if you have PIA installed, open the Google Play Store and search for PIA VPN. If an Update option appears, select it to install the latest version. If no update option appears, the latest version is already installed.

iOS
The latest version of the PIA iOS app is available on the App Store. The App Store also includes changelogs for the latest and previous updates.
To check for updates, with PIA installed, open the App Store and search for PIA VPN. If an Update option appears, select it to install the latest version. If no update option appears, the latest version is already installed.
Browser Extension
The latest version of the PIA browser extension is available on the Downloads page. You can also install or update it from the Chrome Web Store, Firefox Browser Add-ons, or Opera Add-ons.
Changelogs for recent browser extension updates are also available on the Downloads page.
The PIA browser extension will also notify you when an update is available.
