Android - Uninstalling and Reinstalling the PIA App

If you are experiencing issues with the Private Internet Access (PIA) application, uninstalling and reinstalling it may help resolve them. Please use the following instructions to do this on your Android device:

How to Uninstall the PIA App

  1. Long-tap the PIA app icon, then tap the ⓘ button.

  1. Scroll down and tap Storage.

  1. Tap Clear Cache.

  1. Next, tap Clear data.

  1. Tap Delete when prompted.

  1. Go back one screen and tap Uninstall.

  1. Tap OK to confirm.

The PIA app has now been removed from your Android device. 

How to Reinstall the PIA App

To reinstall the PIA app from the Google Play Store, follow the steps in this guide. If you do not have access to the Google Play Store, you will need to manually install the PIA APK app.
