Uninstalling and reinstalling the PIA VPN software can resolve a lot of issues with the VPN. Please use the following instructions to do so on your Android device:

Step 1: Android Settings

Once in Settings, locate the Apps section.

In the Apps section, you can either scroll down to locate PIA VPN or search for it. Once located, select the app.

Step 2: Press Storage

Within App Info page select Storage

Step 3: Clear Cache/Data

Here you will see the options to clear the VPN applications cache and data, Select Clear Cache and Clear Data

Step 4: Uninstall App

Go back one screen and press Uninstall

Step 5: Google Play Store

Open the Google Play store > Press the Letter Icon in the top right corner > Press Manage apps & device

Step 6: Manage

Press Manage > Installed> change to Not Installed> tap the check box to the right of VPN by Private Internet Access> tap the trashcan in the top right corner> Remove.

The app is now removed.

Step 7: Reboot

Once the application has been removed you will need to Reboot your device

Step 8: Re-Install App

Install the PIA app again from the Google Play Store or download the APK file (guide on how to install the APK here)

Congratulations! The app should now be installed again.
