Private Internet Access (PIA) offers browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Opera.
These extensions route browser traffic through an HTTPS proxy server.
All PIA regions are available through the proxy service. Communication between the browser and PIA is secured using TLS 1.3.
The extensions only affect browser traffic and do not apply to other applications. They can be used independently or alongside the PIA desktop application.
The extensions support HTTP, HTTPS, and secure WebSocket connections through the proxy service. Plaintext WebSocket connections are not supported.
In addition to proxy functionality, the extensions include features designed to enhance privacy and security while browsing.
For a full list of features, refer to the Browser Extension Guide.
