Windows 11: Installing the PIA App

Follow this guide to install the PIA VPN app on your Windows 11 device. 

Note: If you're using Windows 10, please follow this separate guide to installing PIA on Windows 10.

Download the Installer

  1. Download the latest PIA app for Windows.

  1. Open your Downloads folder and double-click the installer to launch it.

  1. If prompted by User Account Control (UAC), select Yes to allow the installer to make changes to your device.

  1. Wait for the installer to complete the process.

When the installation finishes, the PIA app will launch automatically.

Sign In and Connect to the VPN

To use the PIA app, you must have an active subscription. If you haven't got one yet, you can sign up here. 

  1. Select Log In.

  1. Enter your PIA username and password (received via email after you sign up) and click Log in.

  1. Select the power button to connect to the VPN.

Once connected, the app will display your selected VPN server and connection status.
