Passwords for your Private Internet Access (PIA) account can include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Spaces are also permitted.
Passwords must contain:
- At least one lowercase letter.
- At least one uppercase letter.
- At least one number.
- At least 8 characters overall.
For strong security, we recommend using a random combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters and making the password at least 12 characters long. Avoid using predictable words, phrases, or personal information. The more unpredictable your password is, the harder it is for attackers to guess.
