All users receive a username and password after purchasing a Private Internet Access (PIA) subscription.
Your username follows this format: a “p” followed by seven digits (for example, p1234567). You receive this information in an email titled “Private Internet Access Account Activated” from secure@privateinternetaccess.com (this may appear as Private Internet Access - Support Dept.).
If you did not receive this email, check your junk or spam folders, as email filters may redirect it.
If you still cannot find the email, visit the password reset page to resend your username and create a new password.
This action triggers an email titled “Private Internet Access Reset Password Request” from helpdesk@accounts.privateinternetaccess.com (this may appear as Private Internet Access - Support Dept.). The email includes your username and a link to reset your password.
For more information about password requirements, refer to the relevant support article.
If you experience issues resetting your password or do not receive the reset email, contact support for assistance.
Please note that you cannot change your username. PIA generates usernames to be difficult to guess in order to improve security and privacy.
