After you purchase a Private Internet Access (PIA) subscription, you'll receive a username and password for your account via email.
Your username follows this format: a “p” followed by seven digits (for example, p1234567). You receive this information in an email titled “Private Internet Access Account Activated” from helpdesk@accounts.privateinternetaccess.com (this may appear as Private Internet Access - Support Dept.).
If you did not receive this email, please check your junk or spam folders.
If you still cannot find the email, you can visit the password reset page to resend your username and create a new password.
This action triggers an email titled “Private Internet Access Reset Password Request” from helpdesk@accounts.privateinternetaccess.com (this may appear as Private Internet Access - Support Dept.). The email includes your username and a link to reset your password.
If you experience issues resetting your password or do not receive the reset email, contact support for assistance.
Please note that you cannot change your username. PIA generates usernames to be difficult to guess in order to improve security and privacy.
