Client Control Panel Overview
The Client Control Panel is the online portal where you can access your Private Internet Access (PIA) account information and manage all aspects of your subscription.
To access the Control Panel, visit our sign-in page and enter your credentials.
Once signed in, you can select various options, including:
- Subscription Overview
- Account Settings
- Downloads
- Identity Guard
- Dedicated IP
- Antivirus by PIA
- Smart DNS
- Contact Support and Log Out
Subscription Overview
After signing in, you’ll see the Subscription Overview page of the Client Control Panel. This shows your:
- Username
- Renewal/expiration date
- Payment method
- Next payment date
Below the subscription information are options to upgrade your subscription, depending on the current tier and payment method.
At the bottom of this page there’s a “refer a friend” section. More information on Refer a Friend can be found here.
Account Settings
Under the Account Settings section, you can update your account’s email address and password, enable or disable two-factor authentication, and change the language of the emails you receive from PIA.
Downloads
The Downloads section hosts the changelogs and checksums for our desktop apps, plus links to the latest versions for download (desktop, mobile, browser extension, smart TVs, and consoles).
Below the download options, there are other VPN settings for generating SOCKS credentials and using the OpenVPN Generator and Configurations.
Identity Guard
Identity Guard is a tool that lets you check whether an email address has ever been part of a data breach. By choosing this option from the menu, you’ll be taken to a separate page where you can input the email address and check it. More information on Identity Guard can be found here.
Dedicated IP
This section gives you an option to purchase a Dedicated IP address. Having a dedicated IP means you can connect to the same IP address each time you use the VPN.

Antivirus by PIA
PIA offers the option to purchase an antivirus for Windows PCs as a paid add-on.

Smart DNS
This section lets you set up Smart DNS for various devices. You can find out more about setting up Smart DNS for your devices here.
Contact Support and Log Out
The bottom section’s Contact Support link directs you to the PIA Help Center. There’s also a live chat option at the bottom right of the page.
The Log Out link logs you out of your account.
At any time, you can take a survey to help improve PIA. Simply click Take the Survey at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
