When purchasing an account with Private Internet Access (PIA), the system provides an auto-generated password along with a username.
If you experience issues logging into the application on one or more devices or receive error messages such as “Authentication Error,” you can re-sync your account password. This option is available in your Client Control Panel (CCP) and ensures the server correctly registers your account password.
- Log in to your PIA account via the sign-in page.
- In your Account Settings, choose Update under Password.
- Enter your existing account password in all three fields, then select Change Password.
Your password is now re-synced, and you should be able to log into the application.
