When purchasing an account with Private Internet Access (PIA), the system provides an auto-generated password along with your standard “p-username".
If you experience issues logging into the application on one or more devices or receive error messages such as “Authentication Error,” you can re-sync your account password. This option is available in your Client Control Panel (CCP) and ensures the server correctly registers your account password.
Step 1: Log in to Your CCP
Log into the Client Control Panel using your account username (p1234567) and password.
Step 2: Locate “Change Password”
In your CCP, select the Account Settings tab and choose Update under Password.
Step 3: Re-Sync Your Password
Enter your existing account password in all three fields, then select Change Password.
Your password is now re-synced, and you should be able to log into the application.
