Purchase a PIA VPN Subscription Through the iOS App Store

You can purchase a PIA VPN subscription directly from the App Store. Please note that subscriptions purchased via the App Store are managed by the App Store, not PIA. This means billing is handled through Apple, and refunds are issued solely at the discretion of Apple Support. 

Follow the steps below to purchase a subscription from the App Store on iOS. 

Step 1: Install the PIA App

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Search for “Private Internet Access,” select Install, then Open.

Step 2: Select Subscription Type

On the welcome screen, select a subscription. You can choose from a 7-day free trial with an annual subscription, or select See Other Plans to choose a monthly subscription without a free trial.

Note: If you have already purchased a subscription via the App Store, select Restore Purchases. Enter your Apple Account credentials to automatically restore your previous purchase and log in. 

Step 3: Purchase and Confirm

  1. Confirm your purchase by double-tapping the side button and using Face ID or entering your Apple Account password.
  2. Tap OK in the confirmation window.

Once the transaction is successful, you'll also receive an email confirmation to the email address linked to your Apple account. You can also verify your subscription is active by going to your iOS Settings, tapping your Appe Account name at the top of the list, and selecting Subscriptions. Here you should see Private Internet Access under Active.

Step 4: Enter Your Email address

You'll now be prompted to enter an email address which will be associated with your new PIA account. YOu can choose from two options: 

  1. Manually enter the email address you'd like to use. 
  2. Tap Continue with Apple to use the email address associated with your Apple Account. 
    • Important: With this option, you'll be asked to choose between Share my email and Hide my email. Please select the option to share your email address to ensure you are able to receive your PIA subscriptions credentials.

Step 5: Confirmation

You'll see a confirmation page advising that your email address will be used to provide you with account management and protection information only. Select Agree and Continue.

Step 6: Get Your PIA Credentials

The final page that will appear will provide you with your PIA username (a “p” followed by seven digits, e.g., p1234567) and a randomly generated password.

You'll also receive an email containing your PIA account credentials for your records.

Tap Close to get started. You'll be automatically logged in and can start using your VPN.
