This article shows you how to cancel your Private Internet Access (PIA) subscription.
All PIA accounts, except for specific payment methods, are subscription-based. This means your account renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle.
If you do not wish to renew your subscription, you can cancel the automatic payment at any time directly within your Client Control Panel (CCP). You can also contact Customer Support here to cancel your subscription at any time.
Note: Cancelling your subscription does not issue a refund.
The cancellation process varies slightly for different users but generally follows the steps below.
- Log in to your Client Control Panel.

Under the Next Billing section, select Turn off auto-renewal.
- You may see a benefits reminder like the one below. Select Turn off auto-renewal to proceed.
- You may be asked for a cancellation reason. Select Continue with cancellation to proceed.
- Select Turn off auto-renewal to complete cancellation.

You will see a screen confirming that your subscription is successfully canceled and you will no longer be charged.
